Rapid Profit Formula Review

I recently purchased the Matt Carter Rapid Profit Formula product and this is my review of it.

I first came across the name of Matt Carter via an e-mail from Mark Ling of Affilorama promoting a webinar showcasing Matt’s product.

I usually just read these e-mails and delete them, but this time I did a Google search on this product and found quite a few positive reviews so I decided to see what it was all about.

It didn’t go well for me at first, Mark Ling’s e-mail stated a time of Monday, March 7, 2011 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST so just before this time I browsed to the webinar page and waited for it to start, I started to worry about 5 minutes past 9pm as nothing seemed to be happening, I waited another 5 minutes and still the webinar hadn’t started, I went back to the e-mail and checked the times again and they seemed correct.

I knew Mark was from New Zealand so assumed however wrongly that he would host this webinar at a time to suit Australia and New Zealand, in the original e-mail was a link to add the webinar to my Outlook calender, I did this and then found the problem, his time of Monday was American EST which in fact was my Tuesday and to make matters worse during the day when I would be at work.

Thankfully Mark posts these webinars online and sends out e-mails giving you the address so I was able to view the video when I got home the next day, the webinar was presented very well, there were only a couple of minor audio glitches but Matt gave a good presentation for his Rapid Profit Formula product, Mark did interject a couple of times during the webinar whilst Matt was talking but Matt took it in his stride and managed to keep the ball rolling.

The product is a video course with PDF documents outling a few more points and giving links to tools and websites that he lists in his videos. The course is broken up into 7 topics which are shown in the pic below.

Each video is done very professionally, which you can see in the welcome and intro video screen shot below.

As Matt explains each topic he will bring up pages or tools showing you by example, he mentions a few times that he likes to show by example and that he does well, it helps understand the subject matter easier, it is just like watching him explain his methods whilst standing behind him looking over his shoulder.

Because I bought it via Mark Ling’s webinar there was a few “bonus” items, I’ve not gone through these yet however so I can’t comment on how good or bad they are. Matt’s course explains some of the items covered by the extra’s so it’s up to you if you just buy his product or wait for Mark Ling to host another webinar again on Matt’s product.

Negative stuff, a few things, one gripe would be he does give a fair bit of information away for free via his e-mails, some of which is covered in this course so you may think is it worth buying since he gives away his tips so freely? I thought so once I started to get his e-mails with his video tips and was tempted to get a refund but the more I get into the course the more I can see the extra info he put into it over what he gives away for free, the section on off page SEO is probably worth the price alone, it is a major reason for his success with his Rapid Profit Formula.

I have noticed a few glitches with some of the videos, but it could be the codec I’m using to play MP4 files which his videos are encoded in.

One thing I did find which surprised me was his Sleek Theme which he supplies via the course and for free had Base64 code in it, he lists his Blog address at the bottom of his theme and has used Base64 code to stop people editing it.

I’m all for authors of themes wanting to leave their mark on a theme if they are free but when you pay for a course and the theme is part of it you’d expect to not have anything like Base64 coding. You can read about Base64 code on another post of mine Malicious code in FREE WordPress Themes

Matt is one of the good guys so I had doubts that there was anything nasty lurking in his Base64 code, The good news there wasn’t, it was just his link. I’ve seen some Themes with up to 10 links in the footers listing all manner of weird and wonderful sites, it seems people will stop at nothing to try and hack your site or put all their sites links in the theme for getting extra back links.
