I’ve been reading Joel Comm’s Adsense Secrets 4 e-book lately, It’s a really good guide into setting up Adsense and especially to anyone wanting to maximise their income from their web site or blog, You can get it here http://adsense-secrets.com/ signup required.
He has an updated paperback book for sale if you want to have the latest and greatest, however I’m happy with the 200+ pages of tips in the one from the link above.
Today I removed some ClickBank Ads as they were too similar to Google Ads which is big no no so I will have to find some others to replace them.
I changed the header Ad to do image and text Ads instead of just images as I was finding that the header and side Ads would be the same at times, I really don’t think someone would click both Ads if they look the same hence the change.
Google allows you to have Text/Image Ads and Link Unit Ads, I wasn’t using any Link Ads so I added a couple to my Blog and attempted to “blend” them into the site by trying to match the colours, it’s not perfect but it may work.
I also tried to add a Logo that I created today into the header but it didn’t really work well, the Logo I think looks ok but the Theme I’m using didn’t like me pasting an image source link into the header file, I may change Themes to one that allows me to have a Logo or I may just play around with this one some more.
Joel’s book also mentions Kontera I’ve read about it before but never looked into it fully, however I decided to do some reasearch and then signed up, it should be interesting to see what happens in the weeks to come to see if I can make some money online.
